About

I am passionate

I am passionate about walking with others through their hardest seasons—offering words of faith, healing, and truth so they can encounter the transforming love of God. My heart is to remind them: they are not alone, and this is not the end of their story.

Through several life events, I found myself engulfed in a storm. What began as sadness and weariness slowly gave way to a heaviness I couldn’t escape. In that season, God used the hard things—the deep things—to uncover a fear I had never truly faced. A fear that had quietly shaped my life for years.

That deep-rooted fear eventually led me into a depression I couldn’t climb out of on my own. But it was in that darkness that God met me—not with shame or condemnation, but with His truth. One step at a time, He began to break through the lies and bring light to the places in my heart that needed His touch.

The Journey

That journey birthed the message God placed on my heart—a message of hope for anyone who feels stuck, unseen, or overwhelmed by fear or depression. I wrote Light Up the Darkness to remind readers they are not alone—and that freedom is possible. This book isn’t just my story—it’s an invitation. Within these pages, you’ll find honest reflections, biblical encouragement, and practical tools to help confront the lies that keep you stuck and step into the truth that sets you free. My prayer is that as you read, you’ll encounter the light of God’s presence and remember: your story is far from over.

For over three decades, I’ve cared for people in both practical and deeply personal ways—first as a dental hygienist and later in ministry settings, small groups, and one-on-one conversations. Whether through a gentle touch, a listening ear, or a timely word of encouragement, my heart has always been to meet people where they are. That calling led me to complete my certification as a Mental Health Coach, further equipping me to walk with others through fear, trauma, and emotional struggle. Through it all, I’ve learned this: true healing happens when grace meets honesty, and when we allow God to tend to the deep places within us.

When I’m not at the dental office or behind my keyboard writing, I enjoy life’s quieter gifts—spending precious time with family and friends, playing with my dogs, or soaking in the beauty of nature. These simple moments remind me that healing isn’t just about what we overcome—it’s also about learning to be fully present and enjoy what’s right in front of us.
